Milk Makeup is the latest beauty brand to pick up this torch, but said fire was lit by the folks over at Lush. It's a fairly easy concept to grasp. Formulations that you typically find in liquid form are now being packaged as solids. Facial mists? Bingo. Serums? Done. These buys are pretty brilliant — and ridiculously easy to just toss in your purse without the worry of a spill.

You can even apply it over makeup — its stick formulation makes it so your cosmetics don't slip as much as they would with a typical moisturizer.

Sure, solid perfumes aren't exactly new and groundbreaking. But they still make for the easiest way to apply your fragrance on-the-go. We especially love the Olsen twins' spicy and sexy scent.

The beauty of Lush's solid shampoo bar isn't in the fact that it smells like candy. It isn't even in the fact that it can last for up to 80 washes. (We'd like to see a regular shampoo bottle do that.) No, the thing that we adore about Honey I Washed My Hair is that it requires no packaging, making it decidedly eco-friendly. But if you are in need of something to help it travel, Lush has a bunch of reusable tins to align with the green-ness of this product.
