If you've been dabbling in beauty long enough, you probably have a selection of products you swear by — your go-tos, your number-ones, your can't-go-withouts. And while those are all fine and good, have you ever stopped to wonder what the majority of other folks across the nation are using? (If anything, to add to your never-ending list of beauty products to try.) What are the top sellers where you reside? And are they the same as in, say, Chicago or Miami?
To get some answers, we asked six major beauty retailers — Nordstrom, CVS, Barneys New York, Sephora, and Amazon Beauty — to share their customers' favorite hair, skin, and makeup products across the nation.
Ahead, see which beauty products take the cake in your hometown and also check out what items ladies and gents countrywide are coveting. Tread carefully, though: We're not responsible for any reckless spending that might occur once you click through. You've been warned.

Let's start with the mane event: hair. From California to Maine, we're sure you're in for a surprise as to how similar — and how vastly different — the most popular products are.

West Coast
The West-Coast-is-the-best-coast can't get enough of this luxurious hair oil, which softens dry ends and smells amazing.
Rodin Luxury Hair Oil, $70, available at Barneys New York.

Dry shampoo is another must-have for the region. Is it all those hot-yoga sessions, L.A.?
Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo, $23, available at Sephora.

West Coasters love this intensely moisturizing conditioner, which smooths strands without weighing down hair.
Aveeno Nourish + Volumize Conditioner, $5.33, available at Amazon Beauty.

This one kind of surprised us. For CVS, the most popular hair product up and down the West Coast is this pomade. But when you think about it, the coolest short cuts are coming from this area.
Axe Hair Styling Pomade, $9.99, available at CVS.

Midwest
A Barneys rep tells us that Midwest ladies show serious loyalty to the beauty brands they love. "She gets excited about new collections and products, but tends to stay with the tried-and-true brands that she loves," says Jennifer Miles, Barneys VP of divisional merchandise for cosmetics. That could explain why this cult-favorite texturizing spray is the region's go-to hair product.
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray, $44, available at Barneys New York.

The textured look is clearly strong in the Midwest, if this top-selling product from Sephora is any indication.
Bumble and Bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish, $31, available at Sephora.

A foolproof way to keep that texture intact without wetting your mane? A dry shampoo, of course.
Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo, $5.99, available at CVS.

Midwesterners also clearly know where good hair starts: the scalp. This shampoo is made specifically for those with sensitive skin and contains hair-friendly, safe ingredients.
Jāsön Fragrance Free Daily Shampoo, $9.02, available at Amazon.

Southwest
Those in the Southwest prefer the textured, full look just as much as their not-so-distant neighbors.
Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray, $29, available at Sephora.

This multitasking product is a winner in the Southwest, the Northeast, and the South.
Pantene Pro-V Classic Clean 2 In 1 Shampoo and Conditioner, $4.99, available at CVS.

Southeast
The Drybar brand is a huge best seller for Sephora. Customers in the Southeast reach for the company's multitasking three-in-one volumizer, texturizer, and dry shampoo. Win, win, win.
Drybar Triple Sec 3-In-1, $26, available at Sephora.

Unsurprisingly, hairspray is a top product for those in the Southeast. Nexxus' aerosol mist hairspray is also a best seller. The bigger the hair the closer to God, as they say.
Tresemmé Tres Two Extra Hold Aerosol Hairspray, $1.99, available at CVS.

Northeast
This Living Proof dry shampoo has won a number of accolades. Another to add to the list? It's the most popular hair product for Northeast ladies, according to Sephora. (Our beauty team alone might be responsible for that stat. We're obsessed.)
Living Proof Perfect Hair Dry Shampoo, $22, available at Sephora.

We're going to chock this popular Northeastern pick up to those brutal winters.
Neutrogena T/Gel Therapeutic Shampoo Original Formula, $10.79, available at CVS.

East Coasters appear to be all about thorough cleansing when it comes to their hair.
Sachajuan Hair Cleansing Cream, $42, available at Barneys New York.

All The Regions
The love for this blowdryer runs countrywide. It's great for fast, gentle drying — not just smooth, straight strands.
Drybar Buttercup Blow Dryer, $195, available at Nordstrom.

The most popular makeup products are clearly influenced by trends in the industry. Liquid lipsticks and plumpers are present, while more classic products like mascara, eyeliner, and red lipstick also make an appearance.

West Coast
We're not surprised that West Coasters are in love with this nude, matte lipstick from Kat Von D. Is it that Kylie Jenner influence, perhaps?
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita, $20, available at Sephora.

Looks like even those on the West Coast can use some extra help in the glow department. Although, come on guys, you have a clear advantage.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette, $62, available at Barneys New York.

Can't stop, won't stop glowing. This contouring-and-highlighting palette is also a big winner.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Face Sculpt & Highlight, $68, available at Nordstrom.

The only thing worthy of sealing in all that glowy-ness? Nyx's dewy-finish setting spray.
Nyx Setting Spray, Dewy Finish, $7.54, available at Amazon Beauty.

It was a tie between this liquid liner, Revlon's Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Devotion, and CoverGirl's Lash Blast Volume Mascara for the most popular drugstore items on the West Coast. Sounds like the perfect going-out look to us.
Maybelline Eye Studio Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner, $9.99, available at CVS.

Midwest
Those middle-America ladies are all about the la-la-lashes when it comes to makeup faves. And they clearly have good taste — this tube is a beauty-editor go-to.
Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara, $24, available at Sephora.

See, we really weren't kidding.
Kevyn Aucoin The Volume Mascara, $28, available at Barneys New York.

There goes that Kylie influence again — this time seeping into the Midwest.

We're not sure what theBalm put in this liquid liner, but it's adored across almost all regions.

Southwest
Southwest gals are all about the bright liners, including this creamy gel version from Marc Jacobs.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner, $25, available at Sephora.

If you're going to reach for a balm, it might as well be a "mood-changing" Dior one (at least as far as those in the Southwest are concerned). It's super-hydrating, which is definitely a plus in those dry climates.
Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm, $33, available at Nordstrom.

The Southwest had a lot of makeup faves aside from this nude lipstick from Milani. Some of them include L'Oréal's Voluminous Mascara, Nyx's Soft Matte Lip Cream in Abu Dhabi, and Maybelline's Face Studio Master Hi-Light Blush. Four gorgeous picks you could wear all at once.
Milani Matte Color Statement Lipstick in Naked, $6.29, available at CVS.

Southeast
A lightweight setting powder is clutch for those in the Southeast — we assume, to combat that dreaded humidity and keep makeup intact.
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, $38, available at Sephora.

This immensely popular pen is great for easy, on-the-go coverage. It's a Southeaster makeup-bag staple.
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Radiant Touch, $42, available at Nordstrom.

In addition to this coral shade, those in states like Florida, Georgia, and Alabama are also fans of Physicians Formula's plumping lipstick in bright, sunny hues.
L'Oréal Colour Riche Lip Color in Coral, $8.99, available at CVS.

Northeast
Those on the East Coast are clearly not shy about standing out. This traffic-stopping red lippie is a top Sephora choice of theirs.
Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in Always Red, $14, available at Sephora.

And so is this mainstay from MAC.
MAC Lipstick in Ruby Woo, $17, available at Nordstrom.

When they're not swiping on a crimson shade, East Coasters are reaching for the lusty Black Cherry. Damn, ladies. We like the way you think.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry, $8.99, available at CVS.

Miles notes that the Northeast's Barneys clients are constantly looking out for the latest innovations in beauty. Case in point: this foundation wand from Surratt, which is already one of the retailer's most popular products since launching last month.
Surratt Skin Foundation Wand, $65, available at Barneys New York.

Skin care has a pretty hefty amount of overlap across regions. And everyone from California to Miami has one skin-care concern in common. (Hint: It rhymes with "sprinkles.")

West Coast
This is the top-selling beauty product in South Korea, and its popularity spills over to the West Coast.
Belief The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb, $38, available at Sephora.

West Coast Barneys shoppers are serious about skin care, says Miles. Which might explain why the retailer's most popular product there is this $620 serum. No, that is not a typo.
La Mer Genaissance de la Mer Serum Essence, $620, available at Barneys New York.

Continuing with the moisture trend, this wrinkle-fighting hydrator is a winner for those on the West Coast.
L'Oréal RevitaLift Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Night Cream, $17.79, available at CVS.

From the West Coast to the Northeast, beauty fans are picking up this eye cream with retinol. (Which is a really smart move, BTW.)

Midwest
Midwesterners know how to treat themselves to an at-home facial. This pore-purging mask is a good start.

Once they pat dry, they follow up with a (pricey!) serum.
Mila Moursi Lifting Serum / Concentre Tenseur, $440, available at Barneys New York.

But there's a good mix of high and low in the Midwest. Ladies there also love these drugstore-favorite face wipes.
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Towelettes, $6.49, available at CVS.

Our faces are drying up just thinking about those harsh Midwest winters. This intense oil is a good antidote.
Jack Black Epic Moisture MP 10 Nourishing Oil, $32, available at Nordstrom.

The face isn't the only thing that needs extra hydration, especially for this part of the country. This whipped cream from Aveeno is effective, without leaving a greasy residue.

Southwest
Southwesterners clearly know the importance of treating yourself to a nice, relaxing sheet mask.

And they know the most important product to do just that: sunscreen.

Drugstore or luxe, the SPF theme is strong.

This fan favorite helps fight aging in your sleep. (Perfect for those busy East Coasters.)
