Anna Gray is a writer and model living in NYC. Wanting to make something productive of her procrastination habits, Anna started the newsletter " Things I Would Buy if I Didn't Have to Pay Rent" (a mouthful, yes, but a title and an elevator pitch in one). An aggregation of everything from clothes to cars, the newsletter is a small corner of the web where you can satiate your own shopping aspirations.

For Refinery29, Anna's bi-weekly column of the same name will feature selections from her newsletter alongside some exclusives for our readers. Browse her favorites and don't forget to sign up for #TIWB to see the full gamut of Anna's deepest internet wants.

This week's episode of "Things I Would Buy " is pretty varied and noncommittal to a theme — kind of like my life at the moment. What am I doing? Where am I going? What's the bigger plan? Short answer to all: unclear. Regardless, the slideshow ahead features cute shorts (I'm officially boycotting denim cutoffs), expensive bags, a fancy beach towel, and a new fashion fascination of mine. Click through to see my dream summer wish list (if I had expendable funds, of course), and let me know in the comments below if you have any suggestions for how to be a "responsible adult," besides ditching jorts for good.

My dad says it's best to leave a little mystery. I like to pretend he's talking about one-piece bathing suits.

Solid & Striped The Poppy Tie One-piece, $158, available at Solid & Striped

I am now refusing to wear denim cutoffs! The hunt for classy shorts led me to these (and these).

Lykke Wulf 5 Pocket Organic Cotton Shorts, $135, available at Dream Collective.

A Haiku:

I love halter tops

Will I ever be able

To justify price?

Saint Laurent Crepe Halter Top, $1,490, available at Barneys New York.

Scenario: I've finally found a decent iced latte in Europe, I am wearing these earrings; all of the au pairs are staring at me, and I look/feel like a sophisticated adult.

Sophie Buhai Arp Earring, $550, available at Maryam Nassir Zadeh.

Versace reminds me of Drake before it reminds me of the brand, which is weird.

Versace Alligator Embossed Shoulder Bag, $320, available at Coco Vintage.

Fashion trends: cold-shoulder shirts, big earrings, SLIDES.

Robert Clergerie Alice Embossed Lizard Mule, $550, available at The Line.

Sale season is here, you guys! Net-A-Porter has a good one, and I'm still not over pom-poms.

Apiece Apart Allende Embroidered Cotton Dress, $495 $248, available at Net-A-Porter.

In addition to pom-poms, pricey real estate, and the psychology of shopping, I am also fascinated by tie straps.

Reformation Feliz Dress, $98, available at Reformation.

This is an unnecessary purchase I'd use maybe five times a year, but it's real cute. (Maybe I'd force myself to host more picnics?)

The Beach People Amaroo Round Towel, $110, available at Need Supply.

But honestly, under what circumstances does one justify spending $13,000 on a bag? If it's crocodile, does it accrue value like art or a New York City apartment?

Mark Cross Grace Mini Box Bag, $13,500, available at Moda Operandi.
